The Worthy Secretary Agriculture Department Punjab Mr. Nadir Chatha visited the Rice Research Institute, KSK, warmly welcomed by Syed Sultan Ali. He briefed and demonstrated in the rice field about rice crop residue management to check the Smog development. The honourable guest took a keen interest and applauded the efforts of rice scientists in developing rice crop residue management techniques to increase soil fertility, additional farm income generation, and environment-friendly measures. Furthermore, he appreciated the quality of Sultan Basmati: a new variety ready for approval which is the longest-ever basmati variety with excellent aroma.
