- Production of virus free pre-basic potato seed
- Detection of Plant viruses through ELISA
- Evaluation of different varieties/lines against fungal, bacterial, nematodal and viral diseases of different crops
- Evaluation of different chemicals to manage plant diseases
- Evaluation of different natural plant-based compounds to manage plant diseases
- To conduct research on integrated disease management protocols for control of plant diseases
- To conduct research on environmentally friendly growth promoting Rhizobacteria to manage plant diseases
- To enhance the plant resistance mechanism through plant defense activators against plant viruses
- To conduct research on standardization of different fungicides
- To monitor the sucking insect vectors population in relation to viral plant diseases
- To disseminate the research findings to the agricultural stakeholders through electronic and print media
- To impart training in Plant Protection techniques to In-service Agri. Extension personnel, sugar mills field staff and other stakeholders
