Objectives
- Development of short duration and heat tolerant varieties resistant to MYMD and Cercospora Leaf Spot (CLS) diseases. (PRI, AARI, Faisalabad).
- Development of short duration and heat tolerant varieties resistant to yellow Mosaic disease (MYMD) and Leaf Crincle Disease (LCD), (NIAB, Faisalabad).
- Confirmation of disease resistance by DNA fingerprinting of most promising lines.
