Wheat Research Institute, Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad successfully organized one day Training/Workshop of Master Trainers on Wheat Rusts and other Diseases on February 15, 2022 for the officers of Agricultural Extension and Pest Warning Departments, Government of Punjab. More than 60 officers including Assistant Directors across the province were participated. The objective of this training /workshop was to build and strengthen the expertise of Agri-scientists to enhance their research skills and how to mitigate the effects of rusts and other diseases, if occurs, for vertical expansion of grain yield in current wheat crop. Dr Javed Ahmad Chief Scientist, Wheat Research Institute, Faisalabad participated as Chief Guest. The other delegate was comprised of Resource Person Dr Muhammad Fayaz Principal Scientist, CDRI/NARC, Islamabad, Dr Aziz ur Rahman Principal Scientist WRI, M. Makkey Javed, Mr Zulkiffal, Ms Sabeena Asghar, Ms Aneela Ahsan (WRI), Dr. Dilbar Hussain Senior, Entomological Research Institute, Faisalabad, Dr Muhammad Hussain and Javed Anwar, Senior Scientists Plant Protection Institute, Faisalabad. Trainers also visited Research Area of WRI, Faisalabad for latest ongoing research activities conducted at the Institute. The workshop ended with the distribution of certificates ceremony among the successful participants.
