  • Compiled a situation analysis report on the causes of quality deterioration of Kinnow mandarin in Sargodha areas.
  • Developed a project on code of practices in Kinnow submitted to the United Nations Industrial Organization and won the project. As a result of this project code of practices have been developed and ready for publication in the best interest of the citrus growers.
  • Analyzed about 70 varieties of citrus and developed a varietal spectrum depicting therein the analytical work. Varietal spectrum is available on Google.

In Sweet orange group

Salustiana,                  Seed less and early maturing
Marss Early,               Less seeded, consistent bearer and early maturing
Casagranda                 Mid season variety of sweet orange
Torocco.                      Seedless, cold tolerant and rich in flavor and taste

In Mandarin Group

Seedless and less seeded kinnow developed through natural mutation . it resembles with the natural kinnow in taste flavor and juice contents
Honey mandarin is an exotic introduction, early in maturity (November) and consistent bearing. No alternate habbit is observe in this variety. Very sweet and juicy.

In Tangarin Group

Fair child is also exotic introduction, very attractive in appearance, easy to peel moderately seedy and highly juicy. Iit is cross of clamentine and Orlando. Mid season variety

Tangelo Group

It is cross of Duncun grapefruit and dancy tangerine. Very juicy, attractive and contains only 4 – 5 seeds.

Grape fruit group

Both of the above said grapefruit varieties are seedless and pigmented with high juice contents

Lemon & lime

Tehitti lime is seedless, highly juicy and rich flavored variety of lime
Eureka lemon is exotic introduction, moderately seedy and very suitable for processing industry.
Sweet lime (Mittha) is an important variety. Highly juicy and cropped in summer seasons

 AARI Pride

AARI Pride is a cross between the Pine Apple and Musambi. The reason of that hybrid was to produce a Cvs. of better productivity with more sweetness. The problem of raciness has been removed by the method of hybridization. The developed hybrid has smooth peel with Yellowish Orange color, 195g of average weight, 4600 mm2average size of fruit and 12 % TSS.
