Date Palm
Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera L).is one of most valuable plants economically grown in semi-arid and arid area of the world. Dates possess high value due to the reason that they provide ample food in very harsh climatic conditions. One hundred gram dried dates (Tamar) deliver energy (285kcal). Pakistan has also a significant role in production and export of dates Pakistan produced 560184 tonnesdates over an area of 95619 hectares during 2020-21.
