National Seminar on “Punjab: Soil Fertility Challenges and Possible Remedies”, was held on 24.12.2021 at Avari, Lahore

A One Day National Seminar on “Punjab: Soil Fertility Challenges and Possible Remedies”, was held on 24.12.2021, which was organized by Rapid Soil Fertility Survey & Soil Testing Institute, Punjab. Mst Shereen Naz, Additional Secretary (Planning), Dr Muhammad Akhtar, Chief Scientist Agri. (Research), Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad and Dr Muhammad Akram Qazi, Chief Scientist, Soil Fertility Research Institute (SFRI), Punjab graced the event by their presence. Current & retired officers working under SFRI and senior representatives of private companies participated in the seminar. CS SFRI & Soil scientists presented on Punjab: Soil Fertility Challenges and Possible Remedies. Mr Naseer Ullah Khan, Fatima Fertilizer presented on Nitrates Based High Value Fertilizers.
In the seminar, models linked to soil fertility were presented by every Divisional Lab & Headquarter office, to portray soil issues constructively. Poster session was held to aid in the dissemination of research findings to the broader community of scientists, specifically soil scientists on soil fertility related topics. These were presented by every District lab and field office. Models and Posters competition was held and positions were awarded. In the end, guests were awarded shields and gifts. Shields/ certificates were awarded to Best Field officers, Best Lab Analysts, Best Management Award and Best Office Management Award holders.
