Component-1
  • University of Agriculture, Faisalabad Survey, collection, identification and population dynamics of PBW from different cotton growing districts
  • Mas-rearing of PBW
  • Determination of alternate host plants of PBW
  • To study diapausing and cyclic behavior of Pink Bollworm
  • Augmentation of BT gene efficacy through chemical application
  • Monitoring of insecticide resistance development through conventional bioassays for insecticides used on cotton crop for bollworms
  • Assessment of enzyme activity in resistant strains of PBW
  • Evaluate The role of insecticides mixtures and synergists
  • Farmer training workshops / seminars/ public awareness campaigns for PBW (throughout the year May to April of next year)
