International Consultative International Session Entitled “Challenges and Opportunities for Improvement of Fodder Crops” Held at Main Library AARI, Faisalabad on 25-03-2019

The 2nd International Conference on Fodder Crops 2019 in Punjab, Pakistan organized by collaborating efforts of Ayub Agricultural Research Institute, Faisalabad, University Of Agriculture Faisalabad & MNS University of Agriculture, Multan. In this regard, an international consultative International Session entitled “Challenges & Opportunities for Improvement of Fodder Crops” held at Main Library AARI on Monday 25 March 2019, two days workshop held at MNS University of Agriculture, Multan on 26-27 March & one day workshop at UAF Faisalabad on 28 March. The foreign delegate comprised of Prof. Dr. Daniel H. Putnam, Prof. Dr. Jeff. Dahlberg & Prof. Dr. Khalid Bali all from University of California, Davis, USA participated in all events of International Fodder Conference 2019.

An international Consultative Session entitled “Challenges & Opportunities for Improvement of Fodder Crops.”convened by Director General Agriculture (Research). Dr. Abid Mehmood was held at AARI Main Library on Monday 25 March in which Prof. Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan, COP CAS participated as Guest of Honour & Dr. Noor Ul Islam, Ex. CE PARB participated as Chief Guest. The foreign delegate was comprised of Prof. Dr. Daniel H. Putnam, Prof. Dr. Jeff. Dahlberg & Prof. Dr. Khalid Bali all from University of California, Davis, USA.

The 2nd International Fodder Conference brought together the scientists, research scholars, Academia, progressive farmers and representatives of livestock and fodder industry on single platform to share and enhance the knowledge about enhancing productivity, marketability and profitability of growing fodders in changing climate. This paved way for interdisciplinary dialogues regarding the contemporary issues of production and quality of fodder. This created awareness among masses about technological advances in a business oriented agriculture to cope with the rising problems for fodder production.
