To increase the quantity of good quality seed, Pulses Research Institute is providing pre-basic/basic seed of approved varieties to Punjab Seed Corporation and local seed companies for their multiplication. So that seed requirement of pulses farmers can be fulfilled.
Realizing the decrease in area under pulses and increasing national requirements of pulses, this institute has introduced intercropping technology and spring sown production technology of mung and mash. Farmers can ensure more production through adoption of these developed technologies.
