Muhammad Saleem Akhtar, Director, Fodder Research Institute, Sargodha has done M.Sc (Hons.) Agri. In Plant Breeding and Genetics from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He joined Agriculture Department (Research Wing) as Assistant Research Officer in 1986. He worked for development of high yielding varieties of Rice, Maize, Vegetables and Pulses crops at Rice Research Institute, Kala Shah Kaku, Maize & Millet Research Institute, Yousafwala, Vegetable Research Institute and Pulses Research Institute, Faisalabad. In 2008, he was promoted as Pulses Botanist. Later on he was transferred as Rice Botanist, Rice Research Institute, Kala Shah Kaku in 2009 and worked for the development of high yielding rice varieties. Currently he is posted as Director, Fodder Research Institute, Sargodha since 01.12.2016 and working for the development of different fodder varieties.
