For the adaptation of production technology of Kharif fodders, Director, Fodder Research Institute, Sargodha managed one day training workshop with collaboration of the office of D.G.Agri.(Ext. & AR), Lahore. Worthy DG Agri. (Ext. & AR) sent the nomination of 41 Agri. Officer of Extension Department and Adaptive Research Farms from all over the Punjab to this office for the training of Master Trainers for Kharif fodders. This training was held on 11.02.2020 at 10:00am to 03:00pm in the seminar room of this institute. Director, FRI, Sargodha gave comprehensive briefing on the achievements and contribution of this institute in the development of different fodder crops. He welcomed all the participants and advised them to work on fodder crops like other major crops also which is the need of the time. A detailed presentation regarding production technology of Kharif fodders like sorghum, maize, pearl millet and cowpeas was delivered to Ext. workers. A brain storming group discussion was conducted for the adaptation of approved fodder production technology by the farmers for maximum green fodder and seed yield. A detailed presentation on the preparation methods of silage making and its importance was given to the participants. All officers took deep interest in silage presentation and asked frequent questions which are generally asked by the farmers for silage making. The meeting ended with the vote of thanks by the Ext. officers for arranging this important event.
