Targets Achieved
Establishment of Soil and Water Testing Laboratories at Chiniot & Nankana Sahib helped to:
- Laboratory was established to evaluate the fertility status of soils in the districts of Chiniot & Nankana Sahib, and to assess nutrient requirements of different crops to obtain the optimum yields.
- To diagnose the nature and extent of salinity / sodicity hazard and suggest necessary measures for their control.
- To monitor the quality of irrigation water and advise on its management and efficient use in crop production.
