​Target Achieved

The project was designed to collect, evaluate and recommend maize, sorghum, berseem and alfalfa genotypes suitable for fodder conservation and also to standardize the seed production technology of these fodder crops. As the outcome of this project, one genotype of sorghum and one of corn for silage purpose and one genotype of alfalfa and one genotype of berseem for hay purpose were identified. Likewise, seed production technology of sorghum, corn, berseem and alfalfa was standardized and recommended to fodder seed growers/ farmers.
