Introduction

Analytical facility is an integral part of wheat variety development program to provide quick and reliable quality assessment. Although wheat breeders are developing high yield potential varieties but for more nutritive food production, a strong and well equipped analytical backing is required. Application of ISO-17025 International Standard was needed to raise the level of accuracy in laboratory measurements and analysis to ensure reliability, consistency and traceability of resulting data as well as to establish credibility at national & international levels. This Lab got accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025:2005 in 2017 which has earned the confidence and satisfaction of a lot of relevant stakeholders.

 

Purpose

  • Maintenance of ISO-17025 accreditation by arranging surveillance and re-assessment activities.
  • Participation in proficiency testing (PT) program for continuous quality improvement.
  • Enhancing competency and skills of laboratory officers and concerned staff by providing necessary relevant trainings.
  • To improve the working / analytical services delivery to the stakeholders (Food industry, importers, exporters and farmers etc.) at par with international standards.
