Muhammad Aftab

Muhammad Aftab earned his M.Sc. (Hons.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics from University of Agriculture Faisalabad in 1989. In his professional career he worked on the breeding programmes of chickpea, Fodders, Ranunculus flowers, Olive and Oilseeds. He evolved 2 varieties of chickpea, one fodder, 3 Ranunculus Flower, 2 Olive varieties and 3 Oilseeds varieties. As Director Oilseeds Research Institute, Faisalabad he planned and executed “Promotion of Oilseeds Initiative” enhancing average yield of Rapeseed/Mustard in Punjab from 11.50 mounds/acre to 19.40 mounds/acre.
