Dr. Sarfraz Hussain

Dr. Sarfraz Hussain did M.Sc (Hons) Soil Science in 1993 from the University of Agriculture, Faisalabad. He joined Agriculture Department (Research) in 1996 at Biochemistry Section, AARI, Faisalabad. He earned his Ph.D degree during 2008. His project of Ph.D was entitled “Accelerated biodegradation of Endosulfan in soil and water environment”. Dr. Sarfraz Hussain completed his Post Directorate degree in 2014 from CSIRO, Australia. He was selected as Agricultural Chemist in 2008. He was imparted look after charge of Soil Salinity Research Institute, Pindi Bhattian. Currently, he is working as Principle Scientist (BS-19) at Pesticide Quality Control Lab., Faisalabad  and also given the charge of Chief Scientist, Institute of Institute of Soil Chemistry & Environmental Sciences, Kala Shah Kaku. He has been working at various Institutes across the Punjab and has experience on high tech instrument like HPLC, GC, GC.MS, HPLC.MS, flame photometer, spectrophotometer, etc. Dr. Sarfraz Hussain also has supervised ADP & PARB projects. Currently he is the Project Director of ADP scheme entitled “Strengthening of Analytical Capabilities of Pesticides Quality Control Labs in Punjab.” He has won many awards such as “Endeavour Award” by Australian Government and Research productivity award in 2008 & 2010 by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Islamabad, Government of Pakistan. Dr. Sarfraz Hussain got many trainings from prestigious Institutes like MPDD, Forensic Science Lab, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad etc. He published 48 Research papers/ articles in national and international well-reputed journal, with cumulative impact factor of 78.23.
