Types and No. of Beneficiaries:

Financial benefits

The project in the line with vision 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as it addresses the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of reducing poverty & hunger and responding to climate change and sustainable production and consumption through capacity building of scientist.

Social benefits

After getting training in new technologies the trained scientist could better perform research activities for crop productivity enhancement. The scientist will be able to train other scientist, extension staff, private seed companies and PhD Scholars.

Employment generation

Skill development of the scientist with provision of excess to modern technology will help in better crop production, plant protection, irrigation and nutrient management leading to yield maximization. Higher productivity will result more income ultimately more allied industries will be flourished.

Environmental impact analysis

Highly trained scientists in new technology will creatfavourable working environment for research.

Project additional benefits

  • Training and learning new tools will ensure the implementation of the new techniques utilizing the available resources and fresh knowledge.
  • Visits/exposure of research team leaders will pave the way for collaboration with international research organization/Universities in research.
  • After the completion of trainings, the selected candidate will disseminate the training skill to other AARI scientist by arranging the seminars.

Expected impact after Completion of the Project

There is need to keep the skills of working staff updated through foreign training in the relevant fields. After training the qualified and well-trained researchers will be made professionally sound and well equipped with latest technologies used in developed countries. Scientists will be capable of doing advance research and devising modern production technologies. The training of Human Recourse would enable them to utilize the recourses & facilities and conduct required technical and scientific research in a coordinated manner in consultation with stakeholders. It is need of time to exchange innovative ideas and get technical support and technological upgrade from international Research Organizations/Universities for structural transformation, programming and management. For this purpose, capacity building/ technical visits of all the research team leaders in much needed to ensure their exposure to international scientific community and collaboration with international research organizations.
Hence, the proposed training of young and mid-career scientists/visits of research team leaders will be helpful in effective implementation of the research projects.
